Boot Up Problem

I have a Asus P5KC mobo with a Intel Q9300 processor. From the first time I put my machine together it would sometimes not boot up until I reset the cmos. Recently I upgraded from 2 gigs of ram to 4 and now it wont boot up at all until I reset the cmos. Was wondering what could cause this? Do I just have a bad mobo? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

The CMOS battery may need to be replaced or the RTC chip on the motherboard is defective

Well I replaced the battery and no change so I guess I gotta get a new motherboard. Thanks for the help.

Well I flashed the bios on the motherboard and it seems to have fixed it. Thanks again for the help.

It was a faulty Bios, reset may have fixed it too
