Disconnect battery without shutting off computer
Hi!
I'd like to know if it is safe to connect and disconnect a laptop battery while the AC power cord is connected and the computer is on? Thanks |

Battery should be fine, assuming you insert it evenly to prevent any short in the battery contacts. Depending on how much you have to flip the laptop over or how hard you push the battery in to make it lock, it can put your spinning hard drive at higher risk while it is on. Too much bumping around on the drive while it is spinning will increase your chance of a crash.
