I am using a Dell Vostro 1000 laptop. Its about a year old. The laptop has a wireless mini card which can be turned on with the Function key (fn+f2). This was working properly until a few months back, when the computer failed to respond to the fn+f2 command. I had to open Dell's wireless card utility to turn on and off the wifi. I assumed it to be a problem with Dell Quickset as this problem cropped up after I opened dell quickset for the first time and closed it. I re-installed quickset but the same problem persists. Curiously, when I open network connections and disable the wireless connection, the wi-fi light illuminates. No idea why this happens. Can anyone shed light on this issue?
