Blue Screen

Hello all,
I'm encounteing a problem, when ever I tried to get into my IP Hard Drive (IO Data) from my laptop (IBM T42 Service Pack 3 Win XP) a blue screen appears stating something like: 'dump memorie'.... and restart windows automatically. I have no problem with other desktop computers accessing the IP Hard drive, just the Laptop, what's causing the blue scree appearing and how do I solve this problem?

Hi all,

Seeking help...

I'm encountering a problem in HP Prolaint ML 370 (G3) windows2003 standard edition.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

in blue screen and was hung. so i had to restart manually.

four days back i had installed Symantec Endpoint protection, i had shutdown the server and started, since then i am facing this problem, i tried to log in safe mode and disable the services and try to restart it in normal mode to check it. still facing the same problem.

where can i upload the Memory.dmp file.

You should probably start your own thread for this
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
so that the help for you does not get confused with help for happy trigger.

When you start your own thread, someone will likely respond in fairly short order.

Hello Freddy...
To be clear...
You are accessing this drive through the network connection,
rather than through a USB connection?

I have not dealt with this kind of set up myself...
Network and fileserver yes, but not
IO Data Mfg Part#: UHDL-300U
or Mfg Part#: UHDL-160U

Are either of these YOUR drive?

My first guess would be drivers... did it come with a driver installation disk?

If so, then I must assume you have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers?
And you have no blue screen issues as long as you don't try to access the drive?

Your first stop should probably be your minidump files.
Do a windbg of the 3 or 4 most recent and post (TEXT only!) as attachments.
That will give those who do this for a living some material to work with.

Someone will respond when you have posted your minidump results.
Maybe even sooner.

Hello B00kWyrm,
My IO data drive is a HDL-GX750 and this drive is connected through network connection. I couldn't find the disk that came wih the HDL-GX750, and I haven't un-install nor re-install the driver and 'YES' I have no blue screen issues as long as I don't try to access the drive.

What is a 'windbg'? and how do I run this thing? is it through 'Start'----> 'Run'??

thanks for helping : )
