Windows XP Crash with unmounted drive C
Greetings guys.
My C drive with Win XP pro crashed today and gives me blue screen saying "unmounted drive." When I boot and re-boot it tries to go in to windows and then the shows the Blue screen. Cannot go in the safe mode. same problem. I cannot format the drive as all my data is in there. Would highly appreciate if some one could assist me in restoring the drive as it was. This happened due to violent power fluctuation. I am in Tanzania. Ashwin Joshi |

CheckDisk from the Recovery Console, info here (From Boot Up): http://www.techspot.com/vb/post694184-133.html
Or try the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows to help backup your important data. The link also includes help installing Windows clean

This is to convey my sincere thanks to you. Made the Win XP Boot CD and did the fixboot from the C: prompt. The computer is back in Service!
Thank a million once again Cheers Ashwin Joshi |
