USB Stick wont respond

hi im new to TechSpot and i got a Maxwell 4GB USB Stick and when i open it it will ask me to format it or cancel so when i click format it will get to a certain point and say format cannot be completed so i dont know what to do!

A new USB stick may be in your future

A couple quick things
=> Don't use any hubs. Test the stick connected directly to computer USB ports. And try each port
=> Test the stick on someone else's computer
=> Look in your Windows Event Log for any relevant messages

When it comes down to it though, unless the problem is something easily identifiable and easily fixed, look for that USB stick in your future
