Regedit, task manager, view hidden folders not working

Hi guys, for some weird reason I'm facing loads of problems on my system and I'm not sure if they are all related or not. I can't run regedit, task manager, can't even view hidden files and folders no matter how many times I set teh folder options to display them and for some reason I'm unable to install some programs the installers just seem to vanish when I start.

I downloaded HijackThis - renamed it to crusty after installation and ran it. I got a log message which is attached along this here. What could be wrong man - I'm facing this same problem on other systems as well as though its contagious or so - any help woudl be greatly appreciated.

You have some nasty infections in the log, and you´ll probably have more, we can´t see in the log.

I´ll therefore suggest you Reboot to safe mode with network.
