Firefox randomly disabling cookies?

Hi all,

I'm running firefox 3 on Ubuntu 8.10, and I have a rather annoying problem where firefox decides that it wants to disable my cookies and history (seems to be random). I have to always go back and re-enable them.

Any ideas how to fix this annoying bug would be most welcome
