Blue Screen, Need help
When I play some games like Oblivion and DOW2, it crashes after 5 minutes or so.
Even playing minor games like Zombie vs Plants crashes the pc. I'm guessing that it must be some kind of hardware problem or the video card problem. Please help me ! ------ These are my computer specs: core2duo 7400 ep31dS3L 2 GB PC 6400 x 2 = 4gb HDD 320 GB WDR GForce 9600 GT 1 GB Simbadda Cool Ps 500W Error Signature BCCode : 1000007f BCP1 : 00000008 BCP2 : BAB38D70 BCP3 : 00000000 BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1 BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : 805B826A BCP3 : B67AABFC BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1 BCCode : 100000d1 BCP1 : 0009002E BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000001 BCP4 : B781C53C OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1 BCCode : 100000d1 BCP1 : 3058D6A4 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000001 BCP4 : B79E3763 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1 Technical Information about the Error Report C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4e28.dir00\Mini052709-05.dmp C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4e28.dir00\sysdata.xml |

Due to the fact that this is a Blue Screen issue the mods may move your post to the BSOD board under the Windows OS forum.
Question: Do you get these issues at any other time, i.e., sitting idle, surfing the net, doing Office work, etc.? |

Nope, everything else is fine. Also, i was messing around with one of the NVIDIA tests, it turns out okay until it crashes 10 minutes after. What do you think was the problem? Thanks. |

Hello Try... Route44 is really good with this kind of help, but since he is not here right now, let me see if I can get you started...
As he said, it is likely this should be in the BSOD forum, and maybe a moderator will move it... until then... You are running OSVer 5_1_2600 SP 2_0 Product 256_1 You should upgrade to SP3 Error 1 - 1000007f Points to one of three types of problems: Quote:
Error 2 - 1000008e Quote:
Errors 3&4 - 100000d1 Quote:
I would suggest getting Memtest. For use, please read this tutorial… http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic62524.html For further analysis, please attach your most recent minidumps to your next post. (you should be able to find at least 4; more than six is not likely to be helpful). These may be zipped to help with the attachment size limit. Usually best to zip them all into one then upload that one zip file. These files contain more information than the simple error reports that you have provided so far. Your minidump files are located in the minidump subdirectory of your windows directory. Eg… C:windows\minidump |

I've attached my minidump zipped file..
I hope these files are enough to get the clear picture of my problem while I download the MEMTEST. Thanks a lot B00kWyrm... your help is greatly appreciated.

As Already Noted...
You are running Windows XP Kernel Version 2600 (Service Pack 2) 1. You should update to SP3. This may or may not resolve all of your issues. 2. Update your drivers as needed as well. Again, this may or may not resolve all of your issues. 3. Several of the Debug analyses specifically cite memory corruption. You should get and run memtest. See the Memtest Tutorial. Memtest requires a minimum of 7 passes (each pass involves 8 tests of increasing duration). If you start getting errors before pass 7, you may stop and start trying to isolate which memory module is at fault, by removing them and swapping them out to test them individually. Be prepared to wait. The tests should probably be allowed to run overnight or while you are otherwise occupied for several hours. Your note indicated that you were in the process of working on the memtest step. Here is more information from your minidumps… Edited for brevity by B00kWyrm… Quote:
GSvr.exe is a dynamic energy management utility for Gigabyte motherboards and it runs as a service. It is up to the user to determine if this process has value, if not it can be disabled. In addition to the file name, gsvr.exe, the following version information is used to identify the file. If the file does not match this information, it may be a different file. File name contains: \GIGABYTE\ To view version information with Windows Explorer, right-click the file and click Properties, Version. Oblivion.exe you will recognize as one of your games. I would not have expected to see msiexec faulted in a debug analysis. It is not a process that a user will be often invoking. (MS Installer... Did you try to install software, and encounter a problem during installation?) Because of this, I am going to tentatively suggest that (after you take the above steps) you may want to take a look also at the Virus and Malware board, and follow the 8 steps, just to make sure you are clean. See http://www.techspot.com/vb/menu28.html with special attention to the Stickies at the top by Julio and carefully follow the 8 steps here http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic58138.html If Route44 notes something I missed, I am sure he will be happy to reply as well. Most of the minidumps shows some kind of a memory courrption. There is an high probability that one or more of your memory cards are damaged. I would recommend run the memtest before everything else.
You can also try to eliminate each of the memory cards (in case you do have more then one) and just try each one by itself. EZ |
