Correct Amperage?
Hi all, I've lost the adapter for my MSI GX630 notebook and now I'm on the hunt for a replacement. The exact model that I'm looking for is a LITEON PA-1121-04 model. I have found some replacements but there are usually some things off about these replacements, ether the connector size is wrong or the power rating is incorrect. The adapter has a power rating of 19V 6.3A and the closest replacement I've found has that of 19V 6.5A. I'd like to know if this 0.2A difference is too dangerous for my machine, or if i should continue searching for one with 6.3A specifically?
Also, are there any websites where you would suggest I look for an adapter like the one I'm looking for? Any help would be appreciated. |

You can use that adapter.
The amperage is drawn, so it has to be same or HIGHER. The plug has to fit (obviously) and the wattage has to be exactly the same, but yes, you can safely use an adapter with higher amperage. |
