BSOD when running torrent programs
I found this forum while looking for a solution for my error codes and read most of the threads and also the sticky one here but could not solve my solution.
My laptop crashes only when I use a torrent program and this does happen everytime I use one. Before finding this, I changed my laptop's harddisk with a brand new one thinking the reason may be the harddisk but I now have a new harddisk but still face with the same screen. ![]() I used different programs and different versions (i.e. uTorrent 1.8.2., Azureus torrent, BitTorrent 6.1.2., uTorrent 1.8.3 beta) but nothing changed. When I download torrents with the Opera's add-on, nothing happens. No crashes but if any of you used that add-on in the past, you should know that it's really slow and you do not have any "settings" choice. Therefore I need your help. I am attaching the dmp files below. I have many of them and can send more if you want!... And the error code of course: BCCode : 100000d1 BCP1 : 89C00000 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000000 BCP4 : BA263A98 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 768_1 Thanks in advance for your help.. |

I see you are running a Filesharing package. This software will open a hole through your firewall, and leave you fully exposed to whatever nasities are running on those with whom you are sharing files. This means that Filesharing programs introduce a constant threat to your security and stability. Please look at other threads here on Techspot concerning Filesharing...
Therefore, I would suggest... Check for Malware... http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic58138.html Before doing the eight steps, be sure to read the stickies by Julio (first three notes at the top of the page) here... http://www.techspot.com/vb/menu28.html Be aware that some nasties are so intransigent and so compromising that it is best simply to repartition and reinstall your OS. Hopefully your data file backups are up to date, and hopefully your scans will come back clean, but I am not optimistic for you, sorry to say. Good luck and let us know how your scans do. If you do find malware, you will want to start a new thread in that area. http://www.techspot.com/vb/menu28.html |
