Blue screen, reboots and problems booting

First of all I would like to say hi to everyone, since I am new here.

Intel core 2 QUAD Q9550 2.83ghz
4gb Ram
150 gb drive
70 gb hard drive
nvidia 8800 gts

I came up with the following problem...
I recently installed Medal of honor Airborne on my computer the first few days I was playing fine. Then suddenly yesterday I got a Blue screen and my computer restarted automatically and when it was about to boot to windows I got the following error message:
reboot abd select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key

I had to clear the CMOS RTC RAM data and the computer booted up perfectly.

I donīt know what can be causing this problem. I donīt know if it the power supply, the game, the video drivers? If somebody could please help me I will be very gratefull.
I can fix the problem but I canīt avoid it.

When the game installed, it automatically installed Physx which is a sort of driver for nvidia, that comes with some new games. I donīt know if this had anything to do with it.

Thanks a lot.

This is a typical failure of an ASUS motherboard... What brand and model do you have. If ASUS, look on the ASUS site for recommended memory brands, etc.

I've seen a very similar problem with two other systems in the past year or so. In both cases, it was the system board (neither of which were ASUS, by the way).

This won't be a software problem. And yes, memory and PSU problems can manifest themselves in all sorts of strange, unidentifiable ways. A memory test is worth trying, but if your board is under sales/manufacturer warranty, I'm pretty confident that it'll be worth getting a replacement.

Thanks for the reply.
I do have an Asus motherboard the model is p5ql pro. the memory is kingston and asus recommends kingston.

I don't have any problems with it, besides when I play this game.

Can this be my video card (geforce 8800gts) demanding too much from the PSU.
It's not a known brand, it has 600 watts.

I think the physx driver might have something to do with it.

@Kumarc
Just notice you had posted to another thread.
Please start a new thread, and...
If you would like to attach your Mini061109-01.dmp
and maybe 3 or 4 more of your most recent minidumps,
someone here may be able to review and provide (tentative at least) diagnosis.

@juandel
raybay is very qualified... I would suggest following the offered advice closely.

First, Check your exact memory against the compatibility list for your exact MB.
Asus boards are known to be picky.

Second, run Memtest. This is safe, and free, and reliable diagnostics.
See here for a detailed tutorial... http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic62524.html

Post back with your results to both questions.

Finally... BSOD's generate minidumps, which are useful in diagnostics, but since raybay is strongly suggesting the mb issue, we may not need to go there to resolve your issues.
