Hello, I am having problems with my Apple G4 Ibook. Yesterday when I went to start up the laptop, it got as far as the Starting MAC OSx screen and that is where it stopped. I took the battery out and let it sit for awhile but it is still doing the same. Is there anyway to fix this problem so I can back up my file before the hard drive goes. We have tried to boot the computer by holding Command (apple) + Option (Alt) + P + R., we tried the Disk utility check disk No Luck We are at a loss
If we reloaded the MAC OSx can we do it without losing any personal data. I see there is an option to Archive files will that save the data. We have pictures and personal data we really would not like to lose
