Symantec Firewalls Vulnerable to Intrusion, DOS

The company has released updates to fix the security holes, discovered by eEye Digital Security. Secunia termed the flow extremely critical because of the large installed base for the affected Norton Internet Security and Norton Personal Firewall products and the potential for the flaw to be exploited by an auto-propagating worm. that is not good at all. at least the vulnerability is fixed. hopefully zonealarm does not suffer from that problem.

No Zonealarm is fine...
I am suprised such a serious hole is found in Symantecs firewalls because it indeed does mean that your system would be safer without their firewall if you simply had the windows automatic updates on.... |
