"Blue screen of death" and failure to boot
My dell inspiron (windows xp) started giving me blue screens last night with a new message each time I turned it on: Kernel_stack_inpage_error; then win32K.sys; then PFN_List_Corrupt. We did troubleshooting, and were trying to reload XP, or even try ubuntu. Neither one would work. Then the screen started going black while the computer was still running. We cleaned the fan, now it will start booting for 5 seconds and then shut down. Any ideas, or is it just dying?
