Athlon 64 x2 4200+ going at 632 MHz

im wondering if anyone has a had a problem with thier processor all of a suddong being a slower speed, i used to be running at about 2.21 GHz but now its always going a 632 MHz. anyone know why and how to fix this?

When i go into My Computer Properties it says how much RAM i have and how fast the Processor is going.

i would like to see if that reading is just an anomaly, second sheck your power settings to see if your cpu is throttling down during low activity, 632Mhz is very low for that, but it may be a misread.....oh yes, welcome to Techspot.
