Counter Strike: Steam version 1.6

Hey everybody! I have a question... I've tried about three different different cd keys (That I've bought) and it keeps on saying "Invalid Cd Key" they worked for Steam version 1.5 but not on 1.6, I think Steam 1.6 has flaws... But I'm not sure, has anyone else encountered this problem?

I've done that! They said that we can't help in anyway because we're not sure if you're using a KeyGen or not.

I'd recommend you visit the forums at counter-strike.net , they would be more helpful than most people here. I was there the other day, before I posted my question I found the answer by browsing a couple of pages in the forums. I'm sure lots of other have asked your question at those forums. give it a try, you got nothing to lose. Besides, the people at the counter-strike.net forums don't seem so paranoid about someone using a number obtained with a keygen.

Can't say I've ever had a problem with my HL serial key that I got with the original half life when it was first released. Steam 1.6 works fine and CS:CZ models and guns etc. look so much nicer now

You managed to get CZ models into CS? Nice. Without buying CS:CZ? If so do you have any information on how to do it?

All i can say to Marconey09 is that if you really want to play CS online (which you should - its great) then buy yourself another copy of HL - its only about £5 now on budget release and worth every penny.

Nope. I was a big CS fan so I bought CZ and was initially disappointed, but now they have updated CZ to use new gun and character models and new weapon sounds. CS 1.6 still looks the same as it always did though.

Yeah but here's the thing, I got the CD key to work! But the next day I (While I'm playing it) get this message and it shuts down the game and says "You have been using an Invalid CD Key" I've talked to them a few times about this but they still don't help...

System specs
Maybe some got your CD-KEY ( maybe a friend ) & once Valve noticed a few separate people were using the same key, they blacklisted it.

Check out info at www.counter-strike.net before going out and spending more money. And for updated graphics you could buy CS:CZ

Have a read of this thread

I didn't like it at first because the crosshairs were huge but they are scaled properly now. Its not much different. just looks quite a bit nicer!

Hey Arris, do you think you could send me some pictures of the game? And how many skins/guns can you choose from? Do they have a wider variety of guns and skins in Counter Strike Condition Zero?
