Mobo short
my mobo shorts out whenever i screw it to the case so i laid a rubber sheet underneat it. it works, but is there something better to use?

Hi Seris,
sounds like the fiberglass resin has been chipped off around one of the standoff screw holes. you maybe able to see which one it is and use a rubber or fiberglass washer on that standoff. |

Pay close attention to the mounting points on the case, and compare these to the motherboard mounting holes. Usually there are 6 mounting holes in a motherboard. Older full sized ATX motherboards had 7 or 9 holes. If you have a condition like Red1776 mentions, leave that screw out or remove that case standoff. You are using the little brass standoffs?
