BSOD while trying to install XP on vista laptop, no HD detected

trying to install XP pro on my laptop, it came with th crappy vista

read about SATA drives and that it can be solved but u need a floppy drive fr tht, my laptop of course does not have one.

can anyone help?

Before you try installing XP on a Vista laptop, check with the laptops support website and see if XP drivers are available at all... If not, reinstall Vista and update it using Windows Update all the way to Vista, Service Pack 2. Its not Vista that's crappy, it's all the crap that they put on laptops after the operating system goes on
