Read of message error

One of my co-workers got the following message after my Microsoft Outlook 97 sent her a confirmation that the email she sent me was read by me.

==== MAIL SYSTEM ERROR =====
Mail could not read the entire message from the postoffice. Some parts of the message may be missing. Ask the sender to resend the message.

I thought this was a fluke but it happened again between myself and the same co-worker on the same day. She also uses Outlook 97. Any clues why this keeps happening?

I would recommend taking a look at her installation of her mail program. The error can be caused by premature termination of the connection to the server (ie not getting the whole message). This can also be caused by errors in the profile. Try removing the account from outlook's properties, rebooting (since MS doesn't believe in closing when you tell it to), then readding.

Also, what program is the co-worker using to check email with? It sounds like their program isn't liking the MS form response- or needs to be reinstalled.

BTW- Weclome to Techspot!
