AMD takes 53% of discrete notebook graphics market

AMD announced that according to the latest industry data, the company's ATI Mobility Radeon graphics chips account for half of the discrete graphics in notebooks today. The quoted figures indicate it has experienced a 36.5% gain in market share, and has sold 87.27% more units quarter-over-quarter during the first half of this year.
