Internet Explorer and Firefox crash when using GoDaddy.com

So I'm trying to do some website stuff for someone here, and apparently my browsers hate godaddy.com

More specifically, Internet Explorer and Firefox both crash when I try and use godaddy's java FTP client.

I click the link to launch it and the browser just closes. (Not gracefully, it's as if I killed the process...)

Anyone know what this is about? I've been trying to get some answers but the only thing I've come up with are people saying "disable the silverlight plugin in Firefox", but there's nothing of the sort installed in my Firefox, and this wouldn't be relevant to IE crashing.

I tried it on my other computer and Internet Explorer worked just fine, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Well, I got it to work... not in the nicest, cleanest way, but the quick, brute-force way.
I just ripped out everything Java in the system, and then installed the latest versions.
