Q9650 and P5N32-E SLI Plus

Hey guys,

I'm planning to upgrade from my E6600 to a Quad Core Q9650, but according to the P5N32-E SLi PLUS page none of the Q9xxx series are supported, yet I've heard and seen many people using a Q9550 on this board. ASUS VIP forums also confirmed it.

What I would want to know is if anyone has used a Q9650 on this board.
My current BIOS ver. is 1301.

Thx in advance!

Why do you want to change? What improvements do you expect?
Most are disappointed.

Disappointed? on the CPU or the Mobo?

I do video encoding every now and then and feel the need for a more powerful CPU.
