Cannot connect to certain web sites with either IE or Firefox

Hi,

I am having trouble connecting to certain web sites, with either IE 7.0 or Mozilla 5.0. Also, some parts of certain web pages fail to load.

I have Windows Vista. As far as I can tell, Java is up to date. I also have AVG (free edition), though I'm not sure how to check what web sites it blocks (if any). And, these web sites are not ones that I would have blocked at some point in past anyway.

The Firefox error screen says:

<<The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.>>

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Try it again- the server was probably busy.
