ATI ships Platinums in US and Canada

ATI has finally shipped Platinum cards that should be available in US in limited quantities. This time, the e-tailers have received supplies first, to satisfy the pre-orders that they've logged.

We don't believe that Europe has received supplies yet, but this market is not at the top of graphic companies' food chain. Komplett, for example, doesn't expect to have any Platinums before early July.

agissi, i think "Platinum" refers to the Radeon X800 XT Platinum. You know, the card with 16 pipelines that will beat the current 12 pipeline Radeon X800 Pro.

no... It's quite complicated.

You've got X800pro and X800 XT PE for AGP and X800 XT and X800XT PE for PEG (or that's what the current rumour says).

As for Europe not being on the top of the food-chain, ok, but it is quite strange since we're usually early-adopters (at least the northern part of Europe).

But at least Komplett has gotten world reknown... Not bad for a company which started as a small webshop in Norway...
