Still getting BSOD after Formatting HD to Factory
I have an HP Desktop and Running Vista.
This computer is just shy of 2 years old and recently it has been crashing and rebooting on it's own with an error message of something like "Your computer has suffered from an unknown error" or something like that, but no BSOD. I then reformatted using the backup CD. I completly wiped everything rather than just trying to restore to a previous point. Without installing anything at all, I'm getting BSOD crashes. It's says it's doing a memory dump. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I've read that drivers are often an issue, but wouldn't resetting to factory settings and not installing anything mean that all drivers should be ok? Could it be the RAM? Hard Drive? I'm just looking for any help I can get on where to start to try and figure this out. Thank you in advance for your time. |

hi
yes resetting would clear a driver issue or any software issue yes it could be the RAM or the HDD you would need to test these as well as the motherboard and then let us know what you find |
