Powerful computer?
I have a Compaq Presario CQ-50 with pretty good specs, running Windows 7
AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-60 1.90 GHz, 3gb (2.75 usable) RAM, 32 bit OS My Display adapter is the NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G. My other computer is running XP but has an Intel Core 2 CPU 6300 at 1.86 GHZ, 1.87 GHZ 2 Gigs of Ram and with an Nvidia Geforce 7600 GT. With this second computer, games such as Rainbnowsix Vegas 2 run perfectly fine, however with the Compaq Presario it runs rather slowly, any suggestions as to why? |

The Compaq runs the game more slowly because it has a much worse video card. A 7600 GT is much better than an integrated 8200M, despite 8200 being the higher number. If you post a budget, we can recommend a faster video card for your computer so that you can run the game better.

I don't have a budget per say, but something around the same as the 7600 GT would be fine. Is it possible to upgrade the video card? I spoke to somebody at HP and they said its not do-able because its integrated, but I'll take it with a grain of salt, since maybe they don't want me to buy something that they won't make money off.

Oh, I just realized hat your computer is a laptop. So no, you can not upgrade the video cad.
