Finally decided to show my den. This is where I spend most of the day and half the night. Got everything in this room that I need. I've got another almost identical system in another room in my house, but that's my wifes. Not quite as elaborate as most of you guys, but, it works for me.

And here is the olefarte himself.

Actually it's a lot more comfortable than you'd think. Easy to watch tv at the same time, and my computer is hooked up to the big system and well as it's own speakers. Plus it's a matter of space in my den. I've got two surround speakers on the side and two in the back. I've also got a 1000 cds and 1200 LPs packed in a pretty small room. Not to mention, I've got a whole rack full of power amps and surround processors and such that I don't use anymore. As you can see, I'm into home audio.

Hehe, I have this dream to design my own home with wood floors, a nice pool and deck, etc.

One thing I want to do is have a sound system setup through-out the house, and a laptop inside of the wall somewhere in the house (were talking pretty large dream house) that is hooked up to the sound system through the house. This way I can have all my music on my laptop and control the sound/volume/bass/treble for each room and setup playlists. Plus I would have a on/off/volume switch in each room. That would be narly.

I don't have a large house and the room in the pictures is very small. But in the family room we have another large screen tv and what you see in these picture is pretty much the same audio system in the other room. These pictures are "My" room and it's got the best system, which I enjoy dearly. I listen to Music Match radio staions a lot through the big system. I don't use my computer for DVDs, because I have a DVD and CD player on the home system. I just like Music Match and also 365 Live. They've some good music. At the moment I'm on medical leave from where I work for four months now, so I spend all my time in "My room" almost all day. That's why you see me here so much. Don't have much else to do.

Yeah, I try. The pieces in the set you saw are glass. It's a nice set. Unfortunatly, I don't play much. Don't have anybody to play anymore and when I play online I get waxed. Kind of got tired of that.

Yeah, they are great speakers. Those were the top of the line when I got them. Def Tech has a newer, bigger model out now. I think my kids are saving up to buy them for me for Christmas. If they do, I'll make you a good price on these.

I used to do something similar. It was cool, I guess, but you really have to get the keyboard and mouse at the right height, position, etc. That's hard when you are not in front of a console at a desk. But I did experiment with a few ideas.

Hey Olefarte, you similar speakers to me! I have some B&W DM-604s, I will post in a picture of them when I have time, which is now, but I can't be bothered . I have a full B&W 5 channel surround sound system, with both amp and pre-amp from Rotel along with a DTS converter. Obviously these are not mine as I live at my parents house, but I get to use them which is all I need .

Maybe if you guys are lucky you will get to see where I post all the crap that annoys you so much , maybe a little tidying is in order; you really don't want to see my room at the moment.

Timmoore, I've got a full Definitve Technology system. I didn't show the back speakers, but it's a 7.1 system. I used to have all seperate equipment, with four power amps, surround processor, the works. But, decided to get away from all that. The Denon reciever you see in the picture is 7x170 watts and it's a whole lot simpler than all those seperates, and a lot easier to operate, with all the stuff I have hooked up to it.

And B&W speakers are great. I've seen them in some of the audio stores I visit.

Nick, that looks like a GAX70 Ibanez :-). That is the same color and model of guitar I have (well, one of my guitars anyway). Although the picture is so blurry I'm not 100% sure. The bridge, color, body, neck, etc all are very similiar to the GAX70 Ibanez if that is not what it is.

DLx/P.. rofl.. no that's not a Paul Reed Smith. If only Nick was that lucky. Paul Reed Smith is GOD.
