Wow, at last I've found you, not used to finding my way around yet.It all looks very cosy where you are, hope you've got all that equipment well insured. Do you have cats, I saw the calendar, I like cats, we had one that lived to be eleven.
That TV looks smart, in England all our TV's are grey, black or silver, mine is silver, you can't get a timber built set [is that the right term?]
Eerily, you look just like I imagined you, me, I'm 6'2" not a lot of hair, ditto teeth, but you probably didn't want to know that!
If you agree it would be nice to e-mail each other on a semi-regular basis, we could natter about our backgrounds & get on subjects other than computers & stuff,,,,like what it's like where we live, our hobbies etc, & doing it in our own time it wouldn't clutter up TS, what do you think. I'm already exchanging e-mails galore with a person near Vancouver, she lives there with her family. I've never met her, she used to live where I did during the war, found her through a local newspaper on-line.
Another transatlantic link would be great, I haven't many relatives & no children, so it would be good for me, & perhaps you too [?]

Well Ive been watchin and waiting and I think Ill watch an wait some more.

If these posts were looked at without the underlying common intrest known we may look like a bunch of really odd people. And we span the globe.

Is it true (it was on the radio today) that regardless of the actual language spoken, the first language of the human brain is English and therefore when you cannot be understood in a foreign country (English speakers ) need only shout in English to make the Human brain understand in its basic language..

It was not my concept, but from experience it does work, I think people make allowences for the lack of multilungiusiun of the English.
Is this a new word.
LOL

Just mentioning that word is a horrible offense in some places. It should garner the death penalty.

I'm repainting my room, and replacing a lot of my PC kit finally, so this is a photo (blurry as hell I admit, its the cams fault, doesn't like daylight) of how it looks now.

The desktop is Falmer, the laptop is Cassini and the other machine is Manuel (my dumb "server". British/Irish joke)

That box on my printer is one of my many free, legal copies of
Windows XP. Thansk Microsoft, but I don't use Windows...

The more observant of you may notice the Siemens OCR unit on the games shelf. I've never, ever, ever, ever used it...
