Manufactured Overclocked CPU

Hi, I would just like to know if you need to change the voltages in your BIOS if you have a manufactured overclocked CPU that has already been overclocked by intel before you buy it.
Thanks
Ben

Not if it is in official packaging... They would likely have legal trouble if they sold them needing those changes.

Intel wouldn't have over clocked anything, any OC would be saved by the BIOS. So if you bought a chip that someone said is OC'd without buying their motherboard, then it isn't OC'd. Now if you bought a whole computer and was told it's OC'd, then it could be, but if it's stable, then odds are voltages are right. If you really want to find out if it's OC'd get CPU-Z and check what speed it's running at.

Like 1Kurgan1 said, Intel wouldn't sell overclocked chips. They are the ones who say how fast a chip should run, so if a chip can be sold running at a higher speed, they'd just market it at a higher speed, and call that the standard.

And then we ****** buy them, and dunk em' in LN2, and double its voltage and speed.
