hi i bought sims 2 and installed it, but when i run it it comes up with failed to find direct x 9. no compatible graphics adapters. i need help, dont know what to do. I have

My computer was free from work so i dont know anything about it, except that its not hp, dell, apple, or any of them it may have been custom built dont know. plz reply soon. also on run when i type in dxdiag i dont have directdraw acceleration or direct3d acceleration enabled and i dont know if they need to be enabled or disabled. i also dont know how to enable them

The graphics card was designed for workstations not gaming and may not be compatible with your game. Try installing the most recent supported driver for your card and see if that helps.

Try the Nvidia website.

It would help if you'd post your system specs. Use this software to see what processor / mobo / RAM / graphics card you have.

If this is the graphics card you have Sims 2 should run fine. Here's a list of the system requirements.
