My computer keeps freezing, maybe a problem with the RAM

My computer has been freezing since I got it, I think there may be a problem with the RAM. Maybe the voltages or frequencies or something are off, how do I go about checking if the RAM is good?

Download Memtest86 http://www.memtest.org/. Extract the zip and burn the iso. Change your bios to boot from CD-ROM.
