Tablet PCs slow to take off

You know, I've often wondered why I don't have any of these kinds of devices. Maybe its because I like to concentrate my energy (and money) on my desktop PCs, but also maybe its because maybe I just don't need anything like that.

Still, I was surprised to learn that Tablet PCs are struggling with sales, according to research firm In-Stat/MDR.

"Tablet PC sales will still remain under 1 million units during 2004, although they should rise to 4 million or so in 2008, the firm said. The reason? IT managers have been slow to adopt the new form factor."
