COD 2 on Windows 7

I am having problems running COD 2 on windows 7 pro

At first it wouldn't auto install, so I opened the CD folder and ran install from there

Then I got a strange message saying 'Class not registered'

So I went to the list of programs and ran it from there

The game started, and I got the subtitles in the training mode but the main part of the screen is grey

tbh, doesn't surprise me. Micro$oft are absolutely useless when it comes to compatiblity issues. Morons.

Speaking of compatibility, did you try changing the compatibility mode?

I presume you mean in the game?

Yes I tried all different versions of windows that were listed

Its really strange because all the screens when starting up and loading the map are fine, its just when the game starts that you can't see anything in the main screnn even though the subtitles and sound are still there

Sorry I didn't address this before. No, not in game. I meant through Windows.

Nothing wrong with your specs.
