Asrock K10N78 Full HD HSLI R3.0 mobo: Coprocessor needs updated driver
My system:
AMD Athlon 7750 Dual core (2.7 gig) AS Rock K10N78FullHD- HSLI R3.0 AM2+ Socket Motherboard Windows 7 x64 Home Premium BIOS vsn: P1.90 Under device manager, the coprocessor is listed as: 'The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There is no driver selected for the device information set or element'. Windows update doesn't find it. I have downloaded the 'All in one' driver from ASrock website, which includes: Ethernet Driver (v73.10) WHQL Network Management Tools (v73.13) "Sedona" SATAIDE Driver (v11.1.0.30) WHQL SATARAID Driver (v11.1.0.30) WHQL RAIDTOOL Application (v11.1.0.30) SMBUS Driver (v4.69) WHQL SMU Driver (v1.71) WHQL GPU Driver (v186.34) WHQL PhysX (v9.09.0428) Away Mode Driver (v6.0.6000.111) WHQL Installer (v7.53) much of which I dont think I need/ is already on there and wouldn't know how to install anyway (do you just look for the .exe setup files?). ASrock's website also lists BIOS updates and Tmagic650 said this might be needed to 'see' the coprocessor. Problem is, which version: the latest vsn 2.10 is described as 'update code for MAC address'. vsn 2.0 is listed as 'update CPU code'. The next one, vsn 1.90 is mine. There are also 2 downloads for each vsn: DOS and Windows- I assume I should use the Windows one and folow their installation guidelines? Sorry for the long post, but as you can tell, I need all the help I can get. Any advice appreciated. |

AMD Athlon 7750 Dual core (2.7 gig) AS Rock K10N78FullHD- HSLI R3.0 AM2+ Socket Motherboard Nvidia Geforce 8200 onboard graphics, driver vsn: 8.16.11.9107 4 gig DDR2 RAM Windows 7 x64 Home Premium BIOS vsn: P1.90 Thanks. Coprocessor is no longer listed in device manager and misinfo.exe reports no problem devices. I guess it's sorted out. On Nvidia's driver site I did an automatic search for 'graphic drivers' and it said I had most up to date. On the 'motherboard driver' search, my current driver was blank and it recommended: nForce Driver Version 15.49 Version: 15.49 WHQL Release Date: October 1, 2009: Ethernet Driver (v73.14+) WHQL Network Management Tools (v73.16) "Sedona" SATAIDE Driver (v11.1.0.33) WHQL SATARAID Driver (v11.1.0.33) WHQL RAIDTOOL Application (v11.1.0.30) SMBUS Driver (v4.74) WHQL SMU Driver (v1.71) WHQL GPU Driver (v190.38) WHQL Physx (v9.09.0428) Away Mode Driver (v6.0.6000.114) WHQL Installer (v7.57) It does say it supports my Geforce 8200 but I'm a bit reluctant to change my drivers now. Why should I need 'motherboard drivers' from Nvidia if my Geforce 8200 is OK? Does the ASrock mobo have more nvidia stuff than just onboard graphic? should I install it? Cheers |
