I no longer have the software/drivers disc that came with my camera, how can I get a new one?
You can purchase a replacement disc through our Parts Department at 1-800-252-5722.
GC-A50 1.3 Mega-pixel

Email JVC Support: https://support.jvc.com/consumer/sup...t.jsp?pageID=5
Or select your home country: http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/english/...ide/index.html

Do note that this camera is over 7 years old (well first released then)
Maybe time to update I've gone through 3 digital cameras in as many years

Which version of Windows are you running? If it's Vista or Windows 7 there's also a good chance drivers that old will only work on XP or earlier ..

/* edit */
But if you are running XP, give a shout.. as there's a chance i might be able to find something (or at least i'm willing to take a look)

Lookin,

I rang JVC Aus' via the numbers above, and they told me there is no such device.

It is Chinese made, so maybe thats why I am having trouble. I have various software, so it is recognised, but I wanted to get the proper drivers from manafucture.

Try the driver suggested. If you still have issues
  • Make sure all your devices are connected and powered on
  • Click Start->Run, enter: msinfo32. Click the + sign next to Components to expand it
  • Click Problem Devices. Anything appear?
  • If yes, click on it, Ctrl-A to select all, Ctrl-C to copy it, Ctrl-V to paste into next post

Ah

Thank you,

Ill try it and let you hnow it goes.

Its interesting how over the years I have come across old seconhand driver software, and let a lot of it go. Now, im sure it would have been useful to have stored it all on the inet, rather than people just tossing it all out.

Anyways....

I tried the driver, it loaded OK, hit the .exe all OK, but it didnt seem to work. The window appeared, but it wouldn't recieve any video or streaming.

I think there was a bit missing.
