I suggest getting a different Card and PSU.

Graphics Card

PSU

The only reason I'm suggesting the Graphics Card over the other one you picked it's like $10 more but you get a Lifetime Warranty.

The PSU and the Graphics Card I picked out have a $20 Mail in Rebate.

But i think that g250 requires 450W power supply, the one you suggested is 400W and i read somewhere that it is advisable to get a stronger psu than a gfx requires,so wont that psu be kinda weak for g250?
Thanks for your replies guys....

It's the Amps on the +12V Rails is that main thing you should be looking at when you're getting a new PSU when you have a Slightly Powerful Graphics Card, that being said the GTX 260 Core 216 that I have from EVGA eats up around 36 Amps on my PSUs +12V Rail.

This is a better Discription of the Graphics Card, it requires 24 Amps on the +12V Rail.

All and all, you'll be good.

At about $205 you could get this combination:

BFG Tech GS-550 550W
+
XFX Radeon HD 4870 1GB

The HD 4870 will provide much, much better performance over the GTS 250. The PSU will do decently for a single card.

Sorry for eavesdropping...

But I have this exact same model pc, the only thing thats different is mine doesnt have a -b at the end.
I was unable to play tropico 3, kept on getting a message that said I needed a video card that was directx9 compatible and shader 3.0 compat so after reading parts of this thread I decided to buy a Geforce 220 off of ebay. It was new and only 50sum after shipping and I was hoping it wasnt powerful enough to force me to buy a new psu.
Anyways just got it in the mail today and went to install it but I think I might have done something wrong. When I turned the computer back on and tried to install the drivers, the only thing it would install off the disk was Nvidia HD audio, and the only vga driver that would install was the standard vga driver that I had just uninstalled to install the new one.
If anyone could walk me through on how to actually install this thing that would be awesome. I dont have the users manual anymore for the computer and all the how to sites Ive found tell me to remove the old video card, which I cant do since its integrated into the motherboard...
