Windows XP Installation - " Press any key to boot from CD.."

Hi.

Im currentling installing XP on my laptop. When i insert the CD into my laptop , the "Press any key to boot from CD.." pops up. When i do so, it freezes exactly on the spot. Ive waited almost an hour for anything to show but its just the "Press any key to boot from CD.." thats there

Please help me out.

never press any key when you see that message..so reformat again and start over..

Try to change CD maybe your installer is defective. Try to run also Memtest86.
