ok i was installin updates on my computer screen and then it went completely black... i waited for like a hour and nothing happened so i decided to shut my computer off and restart it... and when i did that the computer screen was sitll black but everything turned on ( the lights, the fan etc etc) everything seemed to work but the screen and i have no idea what could be wrong with it so if you could please help me out i would appreciate it

never mind i fixed it....by doing this

1. i took out the battery
2. press and held the power button for thirty seconds
3. plugged in the powercord (left the battery out) and powered on my computer
4. a screen showed up saying that windows is fixing the problems
5. waited for it to do its cycle and restarted my computer
6. waited for it to load and restarted it again to make sure it was working
