Hi I have been having this problem for about 6 months now. When i purchased this barebone styled pc, it was fine. Then out of no where it would crash when i tried to play games. It started fine, i was able to play games. Then it started to get worse and worse. I sent it back into the company i bought it from, and they said that it was an OS error and that the hardware was fine. I DO NOT BELIEVE THEM ONE BIT! I just installed Windows 7. The pc crashed and froze a few times while trying to Boot from CD to install windows 7. When the pc freezes, my USB logitech g5 mouse will turn off. So i normally used that as a way to tell if my pc crashed and if i wasnt able to wake it from hibernation.

Also, the pc will crash and repeat a sound over and over.. most of the time it picked some strange noise to repeat. I opened up Microsoft word, and it also crashed. Then after the reboot, i opened word again and it was fine.

Nice system, reset the bios to the default settings and see if the system stablizes...

I tried to reset the Bios, no luck Any other ideas?

Try turning off the hibernation, setting the Power functions in the Control Box to all on, and setting the screensavers and junk to all off,

and in the BIOS turn the hybernation off.

Once it gets stable, I guess you can work from there.

Are you saying you were unable to re-set the BIOS? when you say No Luck?
AnaTom has a set of good ideas.
The first action is likely to et it back to normal, and re-test.
I would also use a simple mouse and keyboard during this phase of testing.
If you get error messages, what is reported in the message?

when i said "No Luck" i meant that my pc was still acting up. i had to set it to defaults to install windows 7 on friday.
