Weirddd problem

ok i bought these new speakers for my pc
hooked them up perfectly they didnt work
found out they wouldnt even recieve power! so i was like thats weird im going to take them back

i look under my desk and looked at my surge protector
it was powered off but my computer at 1200w was running!!!

is that good or bad lol

Your surge protector may have outlets that are "protected" and outlets that are directly connected to the power
Confirm you have connected your computer to the outlet of the Surge protector that offers full protection from Surges.

Also, a warning sign that the Surge protector was "off" but still allowing power to the "protected circuits" means that it may be faulty
You will need to read your Surge protector manual to find out what it allows when turned off

it may be also some of the connectors have possible melted or become burnt while others are still functioning???
