Second Router

That really cleared things up for me. The netopia adapter works really good with
Windows as the manager. Thanks Lookin around.

My next issue is,as follows. I have a ATT uverse gateway network set up and you are limited to 54k unless i want to pay $20 extra for the next level. Can I hook up the N router before their modem and set it up using DMZ/ That will keep them seperated correct? At least I will have a higher speed in the house. Does this sound like it will work? Any ideas or tell me if I am off base. Thanks

Hi Trafficflow

A couple things
> 54K?? you mean for internet speed? That sounds incredibly slow. are you sure??
> Even their web site states the starting speed at 1.5Mbps
> btw.. i have a couple different friends with ATT service. Both called ATT to check on their plan (to tell them they were thinking of switching) and in both cases ATT improved their internet speeds AND at a cheaper price!! (don't know if might apply to you but fyi)

Also, the cable that comes into your home bundles your services (e.g. phone, cable TV and internet). It's the ATT modem that splits the signals.
> All your home equipment sits on your side of the ATT modem (not the ATT side)
> Nothing you can do to speed up the data at a rate faster ATT is supplying it
