Never seen logon screen like this
Bought 2 laptops both D620. As they said admin not set, system pw not set, Hdd pw not set. I asked before I bought them. And checked bios. But when I boot up, it goes to XP logon screen and it says "insert card or press ctr/ alt/ del. then has two users but needs passwords. I never seen this kind of logon before. Regular password checkers like on herins wont work. Is this just a program installed into windows. Am I ok to try fresh install of xp. Must I reinstall XP.

After pressing ctr/ alt/ del (you may need to do this twice to get to the logon screen)
Type in : Administrator Does that get you in? If not try Safe Mode (F8, before Windows starts up) If so, create a new account, then log off, and log into that one Or re-install Windows clean (preferred) |
