Trying to boost old system
I have an old motherboard with an old processor. I haave a PCCHIPS m848A with an amd 2600. im trying to overclock it but not sure of what im doing. i tried it yesterday but it locked my system up. luckily it reset and i didnt try it again. can anyone help me?

you're probably not going to notice anything significant in the performance dept. the 2600+ is a single core processor and your motherboard is not built for stable overclocking. the only 2600 that is worth attempting to overclock is the mobile version, but even so the architecture on those chips is so outdated and any gains will be superficial.
