Microsoft Case Closed

It's official. The six-year-old Microsoft vs. Department of Justice antitrust trial is over. The U.S. Court of Appeals has denied the requests of Massachusetts and two industry lobbying organizations to apply more stringent sanctions against the Redmond software vendor.

"This decision is bad news for consumers, bad news for competition and ultimately will be bad news for our economy," said Massachusetts Attorney General Tom Reilly. "This clearly shows that our antitrust laws are not effective in protecting consumers. Our high tech economy will not reach its full potential unless regulators and the courts are willing to deal with Microsoft and its predatory practices."

Nah. The anti-trust laws are doing exactly what the US governmet want them too.

What it prooves is that The US government are very 'greatful' for the 'voluntary' 'donations' that it recieves from M$. Sad but true. Said that, the UK government would do the same.

in the end the all mighty dollar rules all laws and logic. I fail to see the scope of this, but it never really bothered me as long as I could play my wonderful games!
