Microsoft To Launch Rival To Google

Not content with using Yahoo forever, Microsoft is releasing a trial version of its very own search technology - the search page on Microsoft's MSN website is to be replaced with a cleaner, more minimalist interface that shares a similarity or two with Google.

MSN bigwigs aren't yet spewing all sorts of "best-on-the-net!" propaganda, though: vice president of MSN Yusuf Mehdi says he can't declare the new search site the best available just yet, but claims it will be the best option for people who use other MSN services.

All I have to say is "Good Luck Microsoft!" You have your work cut out for you to compete with the best internet search engine on Earth.

Hey maybe Microsoft will give this idea up and decide to buy and take over Google?

It happened with Hotmail.

Bill Gates is the richest man on Earth. He can buy Google if he wants - he can probably pay 10 times what it is worth and not even miss the pocket change. It will be so much money that no one would ever say no.

Isn't that the truth, when Billy has so much at his side to offer, it would become hard to turn down an offer worth multiplttimes over your current business.

I really think that Microsoft will buy Google. How can it not? If you look at the history of Microsoft you will see its almost totally predictable behaviour.
