Will a DDR 2 graphics card work on a DDR motherboard?

I have a Dell 8300 with a ddr motherboard, and purchased a ddr2 graphics card. Are these compatible?

For normal setups, there should be no problem whatsoever... Your system will not work quite as fast as it would if you had more and faster memory in addition to the video graphics card, but it will be a substantial and noticeable improvement on most systems anyway.
