I`ll second that Didou.

As far as I`m concerned, all p2p programmes should be avoided like the plague.

If u do want to use P2P, try Ares from here. It too connects to the Gnutella network like Kazaa and LimeWire, only it's free to download and has no attached nasties.

Limewire

P2P programs can be a hazzard if you dont know what you are doing or downloading... Plus there are a few P2P programs that are notorious for spyware. Kaza being the worst.

Limewire is not bad at all, I have never had an instance of any spyware or tracking software implemented in the program itself, what you download however is at your own risk.

Unless limewire is impervious to AVG antivirus, AVG spyware and spyware doctor I dont see a problem with it.

Id reccomend it to people that know their file extentions and what not to download......

If that new song you where looking for comes up as a 17kb .exe file your not going to want to download it. But some people are click happy and really dont know any better.

Basically it comes down to knowing what you are doing, knowing where not to go and knowing what not to download. With Windows XP I have had only 1 infection in the last 4 years. Mainly because I knowingly went to a shady warez site desperatley looking for a patch to a game that I purchased years ago and couldnt find the key for.

Mainly if your the gullable type that sees, "click here for your new sports car" "free PSP with survey" "Paypal needs to veryify your account" Or have a bad porn fettish your going to be more suseptable to virus and other nasties than the rest of the crowd......
