Windows 7, BCCode: 124. bsod

Hi there!
I have one small problem, but it makes me psycho!

Some guys tells me to disable C1E and EIST support in bios, I have disabled c1e, and this bsod seems to fixed. But after playing for 4 hours it happens again.

when it happens?
- only in battlefield bad company 2 multiplayer mode after a some time, in about 2-4 hours.
- error doesn't depends on any game content, any maps, any weapons, graphic\sound settings, anything, all random.
- system is up to 50-60C max while playing the game. So I cant say that I have overheat.
- system is not over-clocked, all stock.
- game through steam.

In this case I was reupdate my integrated network adapter drivers, but still has this bsod.

My system is in my profile.

0x124 errors are hardware related and are very difficult to work with because they can be due any hardware in your system.

The old XP error code is 0x0000009C: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION but the definition fits:

This is a hardware issue: an unrecoverable hardware error has occurred. The parameters have different meanings depending on what type of CPU you have but, while diagnostic, rarely lead to a clear solution. Most commonly it results from overheating, from failed hardware (RAM, CPU, hardware bus, power supply, etc.), or from pushing hardware beyond its capabilities (e.g., overclocking a CPU).


However, due to the fact that it appears to happen while gaming your issue may be video card/video card drivers. Have you tried uninstalling the old drivers and then installing the latest?

Hey Route thanks for so fast reply!
Please note, as I noticed, this bsod caused only in bad company 2 multiplayer. While I playing all others, including crysis, dragon age or metro 2033 which is required a high end pc - I didn't get this error. Even I left game running over all the night. Yesterday installed latest beta nvidia drivers 197.13 (but I always trying to be up to date with the whql drivers)
Im playing lots time in mmo, and this error only in this battlefield. Even singleplayer passes normally, without exceptions.

I never tried to over-clock. PC working 24\7. I have a sven 500W power supply.
Also i using some software for development (jave developer) and while I testing it, my pc is loaded over 90% CPU, RAM, even hdd. And nothing.

This has got to be the easiest and quickest solution to an 0x124 issue I've ever encountered. I wonder what the difference was between the two gaming versions? It certainly was hardware related, i.e. video card.

Im sure that this problem caused by some steam services, cuz bsod appears only in multiplayer mode, steam must gather some multiplayer infos, or filter them. This is one idea that I have.
ps. my videocard is almostly new, 1 month of using. So now Im the happiest kid in the word lol.

Over 20 hours playing without any errors, and I get it again.
Please help.

Does anyone can check that dump file and help me out what process, or something that causes this? Please
 
Another 0x124 WHEA_UNCORRECTIBLE_ERROR that simply states hardware as your issue and nothing definitive.

Don't let the title fool you. It can be corrected but the issue is finding what hardware is the cause. As I stated in my previous post it can be anyhardware in your system.
 
How this can be a hardware issue, if I played 3 hour in crysis warhead. 1680x1050 at very high settings, it was around 20-30 fps. (this means my system was loaded for 100%) But bsod doesn't came.
Where I need to search for it first? Also 3dmark vantage in 2-3 loops also running fine, without errors.

ps. posted similar topic on ea tech forum, they deleted my post.
 
First, EA won't deal with it because they don't deal with anything hardware related or of this nature.

Second, why hardware because that is what this error is caused by. The official Microsoft definition is:WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)
A fatal hardware error has occurred.


Please re-read my first response and the definition given as per the old 0x9C error.
