George Bush is poised to sign legislation that will extend the deadline for the introduction of biometric passwords for entry into the USA. This is by no means the first delay to the introduction of this technology.

"The Department of Homeland Security had asked for a two-year extension due to concerns that anything less wouldn't create a realistic chance of successfully meeting the deadline.
